Calcium-Inulin-Granulate
Calcium and inulin are the two main ingredients of our Calcium Inulin
Granulate. Inulin or inulin-type fructans are a mixture of various
poly- and oligosaccharides which are derived from plants such as
chicory(Cichorium intybus). They function amongst other things as
dietary fibre.
Calcium and Inulin – a powerful team
Current scientific studies have shown that inulin-type fructans increase calcium absorption in the body and subsequently also improve the mineralization of bones 1-4.
We have utilised this knowledge, and in cooperation with the Belgian Orafti S.A., have developed a granulate from Orafti’s BeneoTM Synergy 1 and our tri-calcium citrate- 4-hydrate. This combination constitutes a uniquely good source of bioavailable calcium!
Our Calcium Inulin Granulate is a white, odourless, slightly sweet-tasting granulate which consist to 65% of BeneoTM Synergy1 and to 35% of our tri-Calcium Citrate- 4-hydrate. It can be used as a dietary supplement and – observing the RDA for calcium – can even be consumed directly in unmixed form. Further, Calcium Inulin Granulate can be added to baking mixtures and dry ingredients for confectionery or dairy products, to cereals and cereal bars or used in the production of chewable tablets.
