Particle sizes
Manufacturing products of defined particle sizes have been our core competence for years, and we can offer our micronisates with a minimum d 50 of 2µm. We grind medium-sized particle sizes of 50-200µm with various ball and roll mills.
The advantages of defined particle sizes are manifold: Chemical reactions among solids are faster, when the reaction surface of the reagents is as large as possible. Fine-grained foaming agents like Sodium or Potassium Citrates can be included more homogeneous in a matrix. Due to the enhanced processibility in the extruder more fine-grained foams are produced.
With our granulate materials you avoid unnecessary dust formation or an early caking of hygroscopic products like many Lithium or Potassium compounds.
Potassium Acetate as an intense hygroscopic substance has much better flowing characters in form of a granulate material and is hereby a better catalyst in the production of PU hard foams.
