Dr. Paul Lohmann® presents a soluble selenium trituration

Just like all the other trace elements, selenium is essential for maintaining many of our body functions. For example, as an integral part of proteins and enzymes, selenium protects from oxidant damages.

Moreover, selenium is indispensable for the normal thyroid function, the DNA biosynthesis, regeneration of the antioxidant vitamin E, reproduction as well as the maintenance of the immune system.

Why trace elements?

In many countries and regions agriculturally intensively utilized soils are often poor in mineral nutrients. Therefore, a sufficient supply of trace elements is not always assured, even with a balanced diet. For this reason, the enrichment of foods with trace elements such as selenium is becoming more and more important.

New: Soluble selenium trituration

For applications in beverages and foods, in which a soluble carrier material is required, we would like to present you our new sodium selenite trituration in sodium citrate. Owing to its good solubility, sodium citrate is already used in large quantities in the beverage industry, mostly as an acidity regulator. Thus, our sodium selenite trituration is outstandingly applicable for the enrichment of beverages or liquid dietary supplements. Furthermore, an additional declaration of the carrier substance sodium citrate is not necessary when it is already used in the respective application.
